You're nothing to me but baggage

Reputation Has Blunted Me

Friday, April 07, 2006

When your boyfriend ditches you to hang out with his own boyfriend, you tend to take lame online quizzes:

1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before? Had at least 7 one-night stands.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? My new years resolution was not to smoke or spend money, both are demolished. Next year i'm going to make a really simple resolution so I create a false sense of self worth for sticking to it.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? Not "close" per se, but a girl from high school. I am glad though, Dartmouth High needs to carry the tourch for unwed mothers.
4. Did anyone close to you die? No and I am thankful for that.
5. What countries did you visit? US of A.
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? Put more effort into meeting people, take better care of my body (physically), more controlled spending habbits.
7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? August 27th: two of my best friends got married. I know it's cheesy, but I love and support them.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I have no clue....
9. What was your biggest failure? Not being there for my friends when they needed me.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I got ill from becoming a chronic smoker for two months. Other than that, good health.
11. What was the best thing you bought? tons and tons of vinyl when I went on my music splurge.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Erin's. I don't know if "celebration" is the right term but she definately helped me get through a pretty shitty time last fall. I celebrate her!!!
13. Whose behavior made you mad and ill willed? The catalyst of last fall's shitty mood...
14. Where did most of your money go? Buying clothes I didn't need, alcohol, eating too many breakfasts out...
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Visiting Kathy in Montreal.
16. What song will always remind you of 2005? SANDSTORM, Phantom 309 and anything by Bloc Party.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? More happy but more confused/overwhelmed as well.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Studying, spending time with cool people.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? wasting my money on drinking
20. How did you spend christmas? At my parent's house
20. How did you spend New Years? Had a girls' dinner party, drank at Kate's, went to Gus' pub, then to a party at Andrew's house. The house smelled like NSCAD
22. Did you fall in love in 2005? I thought I did, now i'm not so sure. I have developed a new philosophy about love lately. I know, nerdy.
23. How many one-night stands?none
24. What was your favorite TV program? Neon Rider, Ready or Not, Degrassi, Freaks and Geeks.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Yes.
26. What was the best book you read?"Notable American Women" by Ben Marcus or "Modernism and Beauty".
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? Gram Parsons and Emmy Lou Harris.
28. What did you want and got? I wanted to figure out a way to go away for school and now I (hopefully !) am.
.30. What was your favorite film of this year?new films? I don't know. It's too far into 2006 to account for such specific details of 2005.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I went to Monte's with a huge group of people, got wasted, danced for 3 hours, threw up, passed out, danced more, stumbled home, slept. I turned 22.
32. Whats one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? If I didn't have to take a WF in Zuk's class because I left a perverted drawing of anal beads on her desk...
33. How would you describe your personal fashion in 2005? Same as always: tight pants, big hair, big sunglasses, stripped t-shirts, chunky jewelery.
34. What kept you sane? Living away from my parents (but at the same time, getting way closer with them), Josh (somehow), reading constantly.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? Haha, I developed a sick fascination with the Olsen twins. I still find them intriguing...
36. What political issue stirred you the most? The American election
37. Who did you miss? Jill
38. Who was the best new person you met? Uhm, Emily may be my favorite new person I became close with.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005. If things are crappy, change them. Don't whine about it and get bitter, DO SOMETHING. No one likes a sook.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: "Go tell everybody even the mayor, reach up in the sky for the HOE-zone Layer"
