Since Erin and Nate are both on Weight Watchers, they randomly drop food at our door step weekly. Tonight, I discovered a little stash complete with chocolate, candy and roasted nuts. I just ate almost a whole chocolate Santa and now I feel like my stomach is going to fall out. I don't realize i'm full until it gets to the point where I have to lie on the floor in pain. I hate being so gluttenous and having no control over.

Today Daphne Marlatt came and spoke to our class. I know a lot of you aren't huge nerds like me so you probably don't care. Anyhow, she read passages from the book we just read (Ana Historic) and it was so nice. I felt like when you're a little kid and your parents read to you as you fall asleep. She had such a captivating tone to her voice. I didn't want her to stop. I think I am going to see her read again tonight. She is reading a short story which is apparently, very "philosophical and subversive", should be interesting. She is one of the most radical feminists i've ever seen. She resists the literary master narrative by refusing to capitalize "i" (i.e. "i ate too much chocolate Santa). She justified this refusal by saying that she doesn't want to resort to the masculine/patriarchal use of "i" in its initial context. I like her, but woah. I said "history" in our question period and started sweating! ("Does she want me to say her-story? ah!") but either she didn't notice or deemed it appropriate not to embarrass me.

I want to hang out with friends soon! I feel like I haven't seen anyone in awhile (Emily? Krista? Quackmeesha?). Call me, I promise I will be an interesting person for a night.
