Last Kiss.

Has anyone else seen this movie?

If you are up for boldly questioning the sustainability of most relationships, I suggest you do. This movie is one of the few that left me with that feeling that resides deep in the pit of your stomach. It perfectly encompassed all the negative aspects which undermine most relationships. I think I have come to the depressing realization that I have no faith in relationships. I know this doesn't say much for myself (or the people I have dated) but I just can't escape from the old primitive idea that what is done is irreversible. I don't think people ever deserve second chances. I was watching something lame like Dr. Phil the other day where he stated that more than 70% of married men have committed some form of adultry. I'm not a total bimbo, I realize that Dr. Phil is not the most emminent psychologist and that he certainly does not transcend modern thought. However, I think that there is some merit behind this statistic. I have a lot of troubles accepting monogomy (at least in both parties). While I think that I have the ability to remain faithful, how can I speak for myself in 10 years? I think that being in a relationship is the same as having a 9-5 job. It's something that needs to be constantly adhered to and worked on. I am on a tired rant.

I miss Ted and I miss bed.

Goodnight!

    so where do lunchbreaks fall?

i do think there is an idealization of a relationship.. then i guess there is the reality.. which is often an unhappy one..
    it's all about timing..
two people (re:soulmates) can meet in highschool.. but are probably destined to break up in 1st yr univ..
possibly at the hands of a dorm party..
    then there's midlife crisis.. andro/meno-pause..
people getting bored of their partners and monotony like the 9-5..

a friend of mine the other day said that she wants to be married more than once cause she feels she has more to give than one person can take.. an idea with some merit perchance..

also.. sorry i keep commenting all the time.. i ran out of bicycle-things to look at on the net and ain't sleepy yet.

No Grant! I like when you comment! You always have intelligent/funny things to say. You're definately right about the whole "soul mate" crap as well.

Hey! I wanna hang out with you before I go! Maybe you, Krista and I could drink tea or watch a lame period movie (not messy mucas period, "anne of green gables" type---pervert!). Anyways, talk soon!
