21 and never been content.

Today was my birthday lunch, it was okay. We had Pad Thai which was amazing. My Mom got me all this Clinique soap, toner and moisterizer to help out with my "chin" because apparently I have bad skin. I think buying expensive facial products is stupid anyways but of course I smiled and thanked her, even though I was a little offended and have never shown a hint of interest in those sorts of luxuries. My Mom isn't yuppie about a lot of things but she is about food and moisterizers. Snide remarks like "what's the fat content on those Sarah?", or "Oh, you're skin isn't all that bad now" are irritating, they make me want to tell her how snobby she sounds, or throw her venom back with a blantant attack. I don't know, I know I sound like an ungreatful sububarban brat but it's the comments that never get explained that make me feel low. I feel like sending the Clinique package to New Haven for Jill; she would find it funny.

As far as my friends go, my birthday couldn't of been more perfect. Allison got me a DVD, Darcy and Erin showed up with an awesome vase and a yellow rose. Krista hit the nail on the head though, her and Kathy bought me the awesome bike I wanted. It was so funny because we pulled into her driveway and then she sort of wheeled it out of her garage, she had fixed it up and polished it and made it so nice, it was so touching, I felt like I was in a show or something, espicially when I could feel my eyes start watering. Nicole got me sweet champange glasses which I drank out of all night and we even had a birthday cake! it was nice. Corey came over today which was spectacular. I think i'm gonna get my hair done tomorrow.....

My mom gave me that same Clinique package for Christmas last year. I wanted to give it back to her and tell her it was just another symbol of how she doesn't know who I am. But I didn't because shes too nice.

I hope you had a good birthday night, SarHa.

    love,
    Kathy.

    hahahayea.
It's not necessarily "offensive", more like a waste of money.
