University is about as meaningless as the president's apology for slavery.

It's 1: 30 a.m., half an hour until my bed time.

I am not tired in the least. I think I need to find some sort of activity that will allow me to fall asleep at a reasonable hour. While sleeping pills certainly seem the most enticing, I think I will avoid seeing as they have a fairly high addiction rate. Plus, it seems like only severe insomniacs or traumatic recent events should warrant sleeping pills. I only experience mild insomnia and I certainly have not had any drama in recent weeks.

Today Nicole told me that a package was sent to me! No, I am not expecting flowers or anything silly like that. I am hoping that I entered some contest that I forgot about and that it's some sort of prize. I doubt it. I'm pretty sure that's it's probably an information package from school.

Tonight I went to Will's house. I smoked a little bit of weed which was kind of weird seeing as I never do it. It was sort of fun. We spent the remainder of the night eating mini pizzas and playing Johnny Cash and June Carter songs on the guitar. I like having comfortable friends. You can just eat your face off or just sit together and it never feels awkward or like something specific needs to be said. The only thing I don't like about hanging out there is that when I come home I smell like I rolled around in an ash tray. I hate the smell of old smoke; it reminds me of when I used to go bowling on the weekends.

I have only smoked O N E cigerette in three days.
